Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix showed an early aptitude for athletics when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting potential at the moment. Ten weeks after the first attempt she made her skills, she placed second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. She was the youngest participant in the 200-meter race in the world championships in Helsinki in 2005. She defended her title time and time again in 2007 beating her the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed within the top three in her various competitions in the Olympics that took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
